The West Virginia Motor Truck Association is a statewide, non-profit, association of trucking companies, private fleet operators, industry suppliers, and other firms and individuals interested in the well-being of motor transportation at the local, state and national level.
The mission of the WVMTA is to serve and represent the interests of the trucking industry with One United Voice by:
Promoting safety and security on our highways and among our drivers;
Advancing the trucking industry’s image;
Providing educational programs;
Influencing in a positive manner state governmental actions; and
Promoting a healthy business environment in our state.

Due to projected supply disruptions because of Hurricane Ike, the WV Division of Homeland Security and Emergency Management has issued an Hours of Service Waiver for fuel haulers for the State of West Virginia. This Waiver is effective at 5:00 p.m. today, September 12th, through Friday, September 19th at 5:00 p.m. |

American Trucking Research Institute: Take the Survey |

It’s time again for the American Trucking Research Institute (ATA’s research arm) to update its findings of what the most critical issues are to trucking companies across the country. To get good results, ATRI is looking for as large a response as possible to its brief, two-page survey. They’ve asked each state trucking association to bring the survey to members’ attention and ask that you consider taking a few minutes to add your opinions.
